⌛ Anyone Feel The Earthquake Saturday Morning?

Two strong earthquakes strike in Mindanao

According to a philstar.com article.......

Two earthquakes, measuring magnitude 7.2 and 7.1 respectively, jolted the sea area near the Mindanao Island of the Philippines Saturday (7/24) morning Beijing Time, according to China's Earthquake Networks Center.

The earthquakes struck at 6:51 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. Saturday Beijing time.

The epicenter of the stronger earthquake, with a depth of around 590 km, was monitored at 6.5 degrees north latitude and 123.6 degrees east longitude, the center said.

The epicenter of the other earthquake is near that of the stronger one.



I felt it. It felt like our bed was on rollers! :D My wife accused me, and I accused her of shaking the bed!:D

Any damage reported? With some of the shoddy construction going on around Dumaguete I would be surprised if there was no damage!

 

I just thought it was part of my Morning Glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I felt the 7:15 shaker, as a matter of fact I noted the quake on my Facebook page.

Can you believe I slept right through it??!! I have heard several people, though, say they felt it.

 

Ma'am Annabelle and I were firmly installed in Bais at the Planta Hotel. I felt nothing and slept on. She only inquired about it a day later.

For her - the earth moves. I'm looking forward to my first volcano.
