I bought both in Dumaguete...Knowdafish's offer for UPS's sounds intriguing to me...although the price may be higher than what I paid, APC is the standard for power supplies.

    Paper Fan

Don't ever forget to purchase a paper fan, cuz it gets pretty darn hot if the power goes out in the middle of the night. You just lay in bed and roast and perspire and wish you were in Alaska:p

    Info

    Hi ya
Below is a link to Honda generators that produce a pure sine ware power suitable to run electronic equipment like computers. (No endorsement just info)
They come in variable wattages and a have the advantage of running at low speed at low load, as the load increases so does the speed; this makes them very economic to run.
Another advantage is that if your power requirement increase over time you can buy another one and with a control cable connect the two generators together, they will synchronize and will run as one.
    (some models)
Other companies make similar system but I’ve not used them

Inverter equipped Honda generators Honda portable generator models with super clean sinewave computer safe power output eu series super quiet generators

Brownouts are in the summer, not enough power produced, pole top fires etc
Blackouts in the winter, tree down on power lines, lighting strike

Knowdafish. Thanks. Generator makes a lot of noise especially during night.
