    Welcome Arouge.
I understand you have never been yet in Dumaguete and want to come here soon to visit all the bars/restaurants from the one end till the other end in One evening :D
    Well that is quite doable.
The boulevard (Rizal boulevard !) goes from the Banica river at the south side till the Siliman Hall just before the PPA Baseport Terminal Staion at the north side.
If you are a reasonable jogger you can easily run it in 3 or 4 minutes !!
If you are a reasonable drinker it will take you far more than that :D

Actually, it's Rizal Boulevard. The strip along the seawall is about 700 metres long. The road continues much further both to the north and to the south under other names.

    Mayor plans to
    extend Rizal Blvd
    BY MARICAR ARANAS

Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria is moving for the expansion and development of the north and south portion of the Rizal Boulevard as one his priority projects in the city.

The expansion of Rizal Boulevard will extend to Barangay Calindagan in the south and the Silliman Beach area in the north.

The mayor was inspired to further develop the Rizal Boulevard after he received appreciations from tourists who visit the city, city sources said.

Sagarbarria was informed that Dumaguete Boulevard is one among the best sites having the cleanest boulevard in the country. The expansion is expected to entice more tourist to come and help improve the economy of Dumaguete City.

Sagarbarria also ordered the immediate removal of the belfry replica that was placed near the City Social Welfare Development Office at the boulevard area. The replica was displayed in the southern part of the boulevard after it was used during the Buglasan Festival several years ago.

He instructed City Planning and Development Officer Josephine Antonio to make a project plan for the expansion and development of the boulevard. Antonio said there was a pending program plan of the expansion of the northern side of Rizal Boulevard.

The expansion project had not been realized since the city government had to take legal action against a foreign national occupying the foreshore area along Escano Beach, Barangay Piapi, Dumaguete City.

The city government is now waiting for the decision of the court for the project to be realized.

Sagarbarria ordered a survey of the number of families among the illegal settlers that will be affected by the project.

Not many people measure geographic distance in feet anymore. It's kinda like telling someone how tall you are in inches.

Google Earth didn't say it was 250 metres - you did. No wonder you're confused.

My calculation of 1950 feet is 594.36 metres !!!! Check your maths.
