    Hi All-

    signed up here to join the gentle people. Currently living in Manila but I'm from the other side of Negros, which explains my nickname ;-)

    I was in Dumaguete and Siquijor last year, very beautiful places. I was thinking of living there when I retire and set up a HAM radio station...maybe 20 years from now ?

    If time permits I'll be back in Dumaguete before the year ends. See you soon guys !

    Can you make money with a HAM radio or is it to just pass the time?

    Hi Pedro-

    Ham radio is a hobby, very popular before cellphone was introduced. It involves personal wireless communication local and worldwide with other Hams. It also support communities through communication in times of disaster. Ham operator became useful when all commercial communications fail during the last Haiti earthquake.
