    Welcome back to Dumaguete Talibong.
I was reading about the COELANCATH in the fishmarket. At least I believe that it was the fishmarket Jose was talking about.
Her species COELANCATH is probably the Coelacanth, a rare species which has endured the evolution of other species if like there has not been an evolution at all in our world.
I remember that it was mentioned in the papers (somewhere in 1960 or so ?) that they found a coelacanth in the Indian ocean east of Africa.
Before they had not believed they still existed.
And now I read they were here at the fishmarket in Dumaguete some decenia ago.
Hope you will never regret you came back after so many years Talibong.

    Jellyfish,

I did not really lived in Dumaguete but only spent my childhood vacations there. Or we take an overnight rest in Dgte. from Bacolod before going to Siquijor. My mother is from Dumaguete-Siquijor their ancestral house is in Lazi (over 100 years old). We have lots of relatives in Batinguel who haven't seen me in the past 30 years. My paternal ancestry is German (the reason I drink beer everyday ;-)) and I still carry a German surname. I grew up in the Ilonggo speaking side of Negros. Yes I plan to retire in Dgte. and Siquijor.
