    Alas! His trait.!

 Phil! This I can't answer, he was more of a friend of My cousin who comes from PAR in Cornwall. My elder Brother by 2 years knew him better at that time. All I will say is that this was one of his biggest traits, he payed his cards very close to his Chest. I do hope this did not add to the undoing of his life! I can't promise but I will contact them and let them know what has happened and I will tell you if there is any news. You may not realise this but your words actually, are of a great comfort. " If only " springs to mind. Have a Good weekend and maybe one day we can have a cold SMB:wink:

Jack, Okay its very interesting to know about your cousin at Par and about Anthony yes you are very correct he did play his hand close! but he was just a careful guy, I got ihm something once where I worked on my staff discount He came around to my place to pick it up I thought I would just hand it over to ihm he gives the money etc end of story, but NO! he wanted to inspect it first and unpack it and really give it a going over! lol a very astute guy! BUT I do not think being that way he ever would cheat someone that was not his way at all I can put my hand on my heart and say that. A real "one off" guy...my owrds are a comfort to you? well if you say so but I am sure we all have the same feelings in life at different times. Peace and love Jack

Just for the record. for a guy who lived there for many years its shocking that the British consulate refused to get involved. now there is talk of Scotland Yard getting there but thats just a rumour from the City Authorities so far. The NBI were sent down but that was described as a "Photo shoot". So not much confidence in the law enforcement "Task Force" I think this is heading for a cover up job. There is rumour that there will be more killings. as there have been past killings and they should look at the possibliity of them being linked.........yeah... I think scotland yard could do with getting involved.

Don't be surprised at the British Consulate/Embassy not wanting to get involved. Most British Embassies around the world are thoroughly incompetent and totally unfit for purpose. They do not want anything to interfere with their idyllic life style and glittering social circle, and view any request for help from their fellow countrymen as an inconvenience.

Don't hold your breath on Scotland Yard getting involved either. They can only take part if specifically asked to do so by the Philippines government, and then only with the agreement of the British government.

The S.A.S could do a much better job, swiftly and efficiently, and probably view it as just a simple training exercise.

Broadside yes quite right there but the Scotland yard idea came from the mayor...clutching at straws I think..or just making the right noises.

 When in comes to Emabassys, I get a lot of arm excercise from Throwing My Dummy out of the Pram! As John said Phil, I would not hold your Breath, Ours (British) are reluctant to Answer emails any more. Of course, now we have to have a Shopping trip to HK if we need to see them in person! for a Passport.

The British Consulate are aware of the murder of Anthony Nicholas. They have liaised with the Embassy wardens for Negros Occidental and informed myself as a courtesy. I am one of the British Embassy wardens for Negros Oriental. I understand that robbery appears to be the motive.

    Updates! British Embassy.

 Barkada, I am sure the Embassy is aware, All of Negos is aware, I tend to think, that we would all like to know, what they can or will do to help.
As a Warden, Will you keep us informed or will we just see a small bit in the papers?
