Has anyone used the printer ink cartridge refilling service offered at Robinon's mall, and if so, for an HP printer? The internet suggests it is a gamble, if you are lucky it works, if not, your print heads are gummed up. I have a hard time finding the right HP cartridges here and have to go to Cebu to find.

I used several refills, and yes it is a gamble but worth a try.
The best way to cheat your printer (as some do not accept refilled old cartridges as soon they send the empty-warning) is to refill them by yourself before they say empty.

If you print a lot, the external cartridges are the way to go. 3in1 printer below 5k

My experience with the ink refilling is this: last year we bought a very nice all in 1 printer/scanner/copier (it was a Brother, which was a first for us, and maybe the problem), to save money on the ink cartridges we used the refilling stations at the mall in Manila. The printer stopped printing after we had used refilled ink just a few times. We had a repairman come look at it and he said the only thing that could be done was to replace it. He told us these printers now-a-days are almost built to be disposable (we only used it for about 3 months!!), and we should always use new ink cartridges. Not sure if he was telling us the Brother printer is not such a good one and that was the problem or if the real problem was in the refilled cartridges....maybe both? Anyway, I won't use the ink refills anymore. I am sure people use them without any problems, and it is great if you can get away with it, much cheaper!! But, for me, once bitten, twice shy.......

you can buy new or refill cartridge at a store across from the 99p store close to the waterfront. They do photos and have had no trouble with the new hp cartridge. INKMORE on San Juan St. 770 is the hp price

refilled inks will void your warranty and has a 60 percent chance to broke up or clog in your nozzle
