⌛ kinder schools in dumaguete

hello everybody I have a son that is turning 4 years old on feb. 2011. And we are thinking to send him to a kinder school since he show much interest to be with other children. So I would like to ask if the school keep them all day or half day ? Could somebody that had experience give me some informations how the school works and which is the best interms of accomodation and education. And how much does it cost per year ? Thanks in advance guys

Claire, I spoke to my sister-in-law earlier, she works for Dgte Education Dept, She asked are you her now or not, I said No not yet, she told me that you would need to ask nearer the time as costs escalate and decrease through the year depending on the amount of Children accommodated. As you know, many families tend there own Youngsters but there are a few and she means a few locations for you to choose from. The times are dependent on you, of course the more hours they have your child the more it will cost. she tells me that until you can decide how long you want your child in the Kindergarten no one can put a price on it. I know that this maybe NOT the answer you want but this a fact. She did, However ask when you are likely to be in Dgte so she can call you and give some definite information. She also added that there are one or two very doubtful places that you should be aware of. She did not elaborate and I think that is for you two to discuss and certainly not here on the forum. Hope that this helps a little.

SLS Don Bosco Nursery accept kids 4 years of age, full day. one year about 20K plus the usual add-ons

Kinder 1: 5 years
Kinder 2: 6 years
grade 1: 7 years

meaning they have to turn 5,6 or 7 during the school year to be accepted

Thank you again sir. You are really helping me alot. But I have to wait until we will be back. For now I am counting the days that my family will have to spend still here in italy. And its getting cold very early this year 15 deg. well we are living in the northern part of italy sure its more cold here. How much we miss the warm weather in dumaguete. Thanks again sir.

Yes my son is very young and for sure his age needs really my attention. But I think we are giving him too much in the extent that he is abusing it some times. Though it is very normal for a child of 3 years and half to behave in that way. But the formation of the character of a child starts from the ages 1 to 3 years old. Then after that they will developed their own reason. I am happy that my son is demanding to go to school because it shows that he start to be more independent. But this doesn't mean to leave the child alone and let him do what ever he feels to do. Because this is the age that they start to understand what is right and what is wrong. It is good to give their independence but not over that they miss use their understanding with the things. It is a little bit difficult for me to explain the physchology of children in this age. Though it is very interesting. But thank you for the concern. I appreciated it. claire
