    Banilad Highway.

    Benny,
I live a couple of hundred meters north of the Black Pearl, please see a couple of pics I took from outside the place where I live to see the road conditions.

But the problem left is south of the Black Pearl , and the last time may/june the bBack Pearl area was alread finished and they started the last part in may.
Can you tell me how many meters to go to the Dumaguete/Bacong boundery.

JDiver, like Guy mentioned, about half a km south from Black Pearl and half a Km (or a bit less) still to go.
When they have finished the drainage work (takes the most time) then even it could be finished in 2 monthes (Could ! I said :D)
So when you are here again MAYBE still 200 meters

At this rate, they will still be digging up the road up well before they reach Bacong proper,
    next year :(

Well Jim if you mean to say before January 4, 2011 you will be quite close to reality :D
What is left still is really not very much and ........... they are still WORKING so I am not so pessimistic as those still in their home country

JDiver, send me your landline number by PM and I will call you soon.
It doesn't rain too much here compared to some other years.
They even have to water with trucks regularly the road to keep the dust at less than 10 times the acceptable norm :D
Oh, it is a great improvement and believe me...I have to go that way nearly every day.
In some hours again ......to pick up my lady who left me for some days. No guys ....... we don't had a quarel but she goes visiting her family every month.
And then I take my chance to sit with friends to drink a cup of coffee :D
