My name is David and I am moving to the area next year. My wife has family and we really like the area. We are considering starting a small multicab/jeepney business when we arrive.

Hi David, welcome to our forum.
    Interesting ......starting a small multicab/jeepney business ! Sorry.....considering it.
I hope you you do it indeed slowly and start SMALL. Some members have said on this forum that you have to do it BIG otherwise you can't survive.
I am not that opinion. Start small and experience if what you had investigated as potential is in line with reality.
If yes....you are lucky and go the big way.
I wish you all the succes next year.
Are you from the Philippines or from abroad ?

Yes, I agree. I plan to start with just a few cabs and go from there. I appreciate the feedback. I am currently in Dallas, Texas USA. Can't wait to get to Negros!

    Hi David
Welcome to DI also from my side.

Before you start in that kind of business even with one, you might wanna find out which names are really behind the existing fleets and who controls that business. Not mentioning that there are already hundreds of those vehicles on the street.

Anyway, good luck for your move and all your plans.

    cheers

    Rhoody

i noticed that there's a demand for a public transport route for Dumaguete city to Zamboanguita- Antulang-Tambobo vice versa after 5pm until 9pm.
in Zamboanguita to Antulang-Tambobo Bay its only the Habal-habal(motorbike) available and a bit expensive for the locals.

    Welcome to DI

you did pretty well with starting a new thread and as I am sure you read the new-member announcements and the paragraphs about commercial advertising and linking to commercial sites as new member you know why your thread won't show up

    cheers

 Hi David Welcome to DI, I wish you well on the venture, no doubt you will have mixed reactions to your plan, As Rhoody said, you should check out who controls what! I looked into it it some years back and I thought as jellyfish, small at first. Both Ideas ended up in the Bin, Small because I think I would have been swallowed up, Big because it meant big money, as a foreigner backing an established System it would not have been welcomed and the restrictions that would be placed on it just did not seem to be worth the hastle. please don't let me dissuade you, personally I think a lot could be learned from good competition, I do wish you well on this venture.

Hope all goes well with the move.

    Jack P.
