Thought I'd pop the question and see if the cleaning staff etc at any hotels in town are known to be less than trustworthy..? I've been in and out of Dgte since 1999, and can't recall any places mentioned that were to be avoided for that reason, but who knows?

    common sense

I managed an apartment hotel in the past. I learned that we don't change the locks to accomodate different keys everytime someone checks out. Let's say a former tenant made a duplicate key and now a partner has checked into another room. Can he travel down the hallway and access your room while you're out?

This is not an answer to your question, but a caution.

Always treat hotel security well, and you shouldn't have a problem.

P.S. If you think the police care, they're not answering your query are they?

Think...think...think... !!! (hope this post is acceptable)

Most guys will sleep on their backs and tuck their wallet under their balls, just in case. I also add a trip wire past the door 5" high and attach a 4" empty can of corn beef with rocks in it to alert me. Finally, I put some baby oil on the floor in front of the bed so the perp will slip whe he (or she) goes looking for the wallet.

Personally, just joking, I have stayed in a few resorts around Dgte as well as my house and never had a problem. Others may have had different experiences and I'm sure will share with you.

    To the OP

Think hard for a minute. Do you really think that you are asking the question in the right place? How many Dumaguete residents usually / regularly stay in a hotel in their place of residence?

Interestingly, the guys says he has been in and out of Dgte since 1999 and pops off a question like that? He should be able to answer his own question...

These negative comments are groundless. But what's new, right? Some numbnut in a cybercafe with nothing better to do. Pisot pa ka?

I'd bet most of the members here are foreigners btw, so the question is in the right place.

I've only lived in two locations in Dgte during the past 11 years, and one was not a hotel.

Sorry call me dumb if you like, but I don't follow why you make a comment about a numbnut in a cyber cafe, then ask if people have been circumcised? Quite frankly, if you want to have your little joke/one upmanship in Cebuano, all well and good, but please don't insult most people's intelligence by thinking all here don't speak or understand Visayan. If you wish to make a local joke, try to make it appropriate and be a bit more classy, peasants or the lower class make sad little jokes like that. I sincerely hope this doesn't reflect your class. If it does, perhaps this isn't the forum for you.
