The Siquijor Airport was closed for a while and has now been reopened. I want to fly in there but know absolutely nothing about the island and how to get around. Been over Siquijor at 5000 feet many times and it looks quite spread out.

Does anyone know how to get from the airport to anywhere?? Am interested in a day trip to check it out and thinking of taking the family over around Xmas Time.

    Many thanks.

Sorry, I can't help you with your question but are you serious about reopening ?
Where you got that info and who is flying to Siquijor (besides the witches on their broom-sticks of course ) ?

well, you know the country we are in.. it is more or less a dirt landing strip. relatively close to siquijor town. I passed it 2 month ago and it looked close to me, but I assume that there is a contact person which the Duma Tower should know, or radio ... hmmm probably in the pawnshop.

yes, Siquijor does have an airport. It was closed for some runway work. Looks to me like they have done some improvements to the center part of the runway. Have never landed there so thats all I know, hence the plan to fly there, but I did not want to get stuck in he middle of no where if no transportation.

No commercial flights there at all

i hope the Siquijor Airport still exist..
you may contact Captain Teves, he has a Hanger next street after dumaguete airport (rightside if your coming from south). he was my captain few years ago as we rented his 4 seater charter plane. he has a contact of the air controller and during that time their was an in charge of Siquijor Airport for safety take off/landing. It was a wonderful experienced, it was like having your own private airport in the middle of nowhere. It's a must to try!
