That's a very nice picture.. Well i got a question... from Dumaguete to San Carlos how many hours will it take? I hope you can answer me.. I am just planning to go to San Carlos

 

Travel to San Carlos would take 5 to 6 hours by a public bus and 3 to 4 hours if you have your own car or maybe shorter if you drive faster than 60kph.

 

MacDo here in dumaguete to San Carlos was 176km and took me 3 hours 25 minutes. :-)

I took the National Highway (a 2 lane road shared with cows, buffalo, bicycles, jeepneys, trikes, playing children, etc) which runs north mainly along the ocean and goes through tons of little towns here called Barangays. Some pretty scenic spots along the way and i snapped a few pics.

Hit just a small patch of rain along the way, but I was prepared for that. Rain gear on the bike as well as heavy rain ponchos kept us dry!











I checked into the YM Business Lodge there in San Carlos and while the rooms are small, they are clean and good aircon. 900P/$20 a night can't be beat in that area. I would stay there again.

Have a snack at Burgers and Beer. It's owned my a guy named Micheal Jackson. :-)

 

YM Business Lodge: I just hate their matrazes. they are vinyl or plastic and it creates an uncomfortable feeling, kind of making you sweat.

 

I didn't find an alternative for better lodging in San Carlos. You have any suggestions you can share please??

 

Lola Nitang or Mom's may be ok too; another alternative may be Palau Resort (about 10 km direction bacolod)

 

You drove via Don Salvador Benedicto on that bike? Respect! By the way, what's the engine size on that thing? Drove through there back in 2008. Very scenic views indeed. Thanks for posting.
