Hi guys! I am a fan of Dumaguete, so laid back. Idyllic. Beautiful! I will be visiting soon with my family, looking forward to it! My daughter is 2 years old, is it safe to take her in a scooter with me? Any restrictions? My husband would want to go around the city on a scooter. Could you please recommend where we could rent one and how much?
    Thanks!

    Desiree.

    Welcom Canadian Desiree.
There is hardly any restriction for carrying a baby or a 2 years old kid or your grandma + grandpa and your other 5 kids on your scooter.
You will be surprised what you get to see here :D:D
But what is called "safe" by them is likely called "very unsafe" by you.
Regarding renting........well this city is allways called by me "the Gentle city of trycicles (and motorbikes)".
You won't have any problem as well to find a renter for a scooter.
So don't worry about names of shops. Walk 5 minutes and you will see some.

    Hey

Welcome to Dumaguete ( soon ). We had the pleasure of living in Cebu for a few years and love it down here. There are a couple of rental places on the way to the bus station. On your left if your driving from the park. Not sure how much but i would guess 200 / 250 a day. Thats all i know as i havent paid attention having my own bike. I have a little boy of 3 and use my bike daily with no problems, just think for other people as well as yourself when driving. Only problem i have is he has learnt how to start it by watching so i have to leave the keys on the ref at all times :D
