My Friend - Have you been to the provincial hospital? It is worth the trip just to remember that you are in the third world.

The biggest room is the catholic chapel which occupies most of what was the main entrance. - They could fit 50 beds in the space and clear one of the corridors.

It's a hospital Jim but not as we know it.

Do not even consider the place except for a visit - as a human being you probably have a duty to look

no my friend i was not been there and i dont know it. i look just for the most comfortable way to get Dialysis in Dumaguete or near of Dumaguete.it needs more money to travel in other places for Dialysis and takes time too. the payments for Dialysis is already expensive enough and i dont know if i will get that money back from my healthinsurance in germany. as now they pay only 6 weeks Dialysis yearly if i will do my vacation in Dumaguete, but if my girlfriend finish her workcontract in Israel then we want to marry and i will relocate to Philippines.I dont know how long time it will need but i think it is good to prepare now already and try to get the best informations.
I thank all for the big help and appreciate that really.
    Thanks a lot @all

I've been checking into PI dialysis myself. Chong Hua hospital in Cebu seems to have a well set up renal unit. Costs are about P4500 per session-not sure what that includes. My US insurance will cover dialysis in the Philippines btw.

My wife is going to take a hard look at the NOPH dialysis unit for me in about a week.

The other consideration is what drugs are available for use during dialysis, - Epogen and Renvela for example.

Blue Cross Blue Shield thru their WorldWide Expat division. I gave them a call and they looked up coverage in the Philippines. Said I could mail in receipts if the clinic couldn't bill them directly.
