We are new in town and we have a container came from Malaysia this coming Sunday or Monday from Cebu that need a temporary storage room / space about 20ft container sized in Dumaguete City before our new place is ready about 6 to 8 months down the road. Any information about storage places around the city?

Go to boat lines and ask. They will know. Maybe William lines. Often cargo is unloaded and stored if the recipient doesn't show up right away.

Yeah and Stolen, Sold or just trashed!

 We are in the PI, Dgte maybe BUT no one leaves anything anywhere for more than a second, never mind not showing up for a container load of hard earned belongings my friend. How new are you to the PI?

    Storage of belongings

Been here for over 6 years bud, never lost a thing to theft. I don't know for sure because I have never used long term storage, but I've seen some advertisements somewhere. Asking the boat lines is what I would do because often they are directed by you to let storage company pick up your stuff and keep it until you arrive. Some kind of insurance for replacement would be what I would want in a storage contract and I would expect they do have such language.

I agree that planning to be here when your goods arrive is much better. If you can do it, use a manned truck and have the truck owner be responsible for what you have in his truck. If you pay for food and lodging, they will curl up and stay right where you want the stuff until you show up. They actually gave us a key to the doors of the truck they delivered our furniture with from Dipolog to Dumaguete.

If your stuff is still in the container, you might be able to temporarily store it at the Oceanic container site, just off the highway (beach side) very close to the southern Dumaguete city limit. Just look for all the storage containers about 50 meters off the highway. They have 2 huge forklifts there. So unloading/loading a container off a truck is simple. Just ask to talk to the manager there, I've already talked to him once before. He's a cool guy, who speaks very good English.
