Have had a few lunches at the Persian Palette Restaurant (I hope I got the spelling right) over last few weeks and have been impressed enough that I thought I would pass it onto the rest of the group.

I ate at one of their restaurants in Cebu and was interested to see they are in Dumaguete (I asked, it is the same group)

If you like Birayani (I sure do), they have it, they also have some Arabian Dips, kebabs, some good curries, etc and so far I have had no complaints with the service of food quality

I guess the "Arabian" food would not be a purists heaven but it sure is a nice break from the mundane ..

Have not been able to spend over P380 with two Coke Lights, Entre and Main Meal so far.

It is located just up from the Monteray Shop on the side street off the Boulevard.

Wow..that sounds great. How long has it been there? Sad to have missed it when we visited. We're big fans of Arabic and Pakistani food (don't laugh)...so I would imagine that Iranian food is somewhere in the middle. We're having Chicken Tika tonight....my wife just prepared two kilos marinating right now as I'm writing....on the Bible...bloody good.

I actually noticed it a few months ago but it appeared closed then a couple of weeks ago I noticed an open sign. It does not look brand new inside, maybe it was open then closed for a while or I just did not notice as had a swivel head when I first got here, trying to look at everything ..

PP is here since minimum 5 years. since around 2 years the quality went from fantastic to a bit inconsistent. Since then they get most of their food from Cebu precooked and just reheat it here. Since 6 month the place and the franchise is up for sale.

I still go there at least once in a month. When The Dane moved back to Luzon 3years ago, he ordered 100 of their bread thingies to take them back up there. 5 of them some Hummus and Mango Chutney as dip with Veggie-Samosa Lamp-Spinach Curry and a Mango Lassi are to die for.

Thanks for the post, just was thinking where to bring my monsters for dinner... here we go
    cheers

13 people in there for lunch today by my count, so things must be improving.

I think the Dane is still selling the thingies up in AC.

They used to have a student lunch for 50 - 75 Peso, don't know if they still have it.

Just came back from Dinner there, only 8 customer for a Friday evening with lamp and chicken-dishes out of stock so only beef left. Aircon switched off but 2 fans...
Still, had a enjoyable time with good food and my monster

    good pics Rhoody.

Same thing happened when i went there about 2 months ago. Aircons turned off and VERY hot inside. They turn on the aircon when we walked in and it seems like about 40 minutes later when we were done with a meal, it's just starting to cool off and be tolerable.

that was my last visit there....

The lamp is recommended for a light meal.
