⌛ On our way

Hi all, have just finished a pretty hectic 2 weeks packing, will be shipping a 20' container, will post how it goes and the process when it arrives, if any one interested.
We will be leaving for Manila on Friday, the wife has her dual citizenship, no problems applying here in Australia, I have my Visa,again no problem, will see how it goes when we arrive Manila and apply for ACR.
I understand I need to apply for an exemtion of tax and duty, at department of finance in Manila, will also see what happens, again will pass on info incase any one is interested.
Will be looking for a rental house in Dumaguete, 3 bedroom 2 bathroom close
to Dumaguete, as will not have any transport for awhile, looking at about P 15,000 max, if anybody knows of anything going please let me know.

TD. Hope the move goes well, We have had a few other new arrivals and there seemed no major problems. Good luck in your New Life, I am sure you will be offered plenty of help along the way should you need it. The House and Transport will both come soon enough. I hope you will be as happy as most of us here.

I wish you the best on your move here. Just remember than nothings happens "quick" here.
There is an excellent thread on here (somewhere) about the ACR card. If my memory serves me correctly, and others here can correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that I had to be here "X" number of months before I was eligable for my ACR card. It was not "get it as soon as you arrive" type thing.
However, I was doing so many things at the same time I just don't remember the time-frame involved.
