I am sure that you will enjoy your stay. Dick & Helen are gracious hosts and the facility is top-flight! Have a wonderful Christmas!

    Hi,
Corcal Cay is a nice friendly resort the owner is an american who is great craic to have a beer with at the bar watching a wounderful sunset. The resort is safe and good for kids with a reasonable beach, okay for sea swimming depending on tide.
The cottages are reasonable and price depending on how close you want to the sea. Coconut grove is also very nice but can be much more expensive, Kiwi is a good little place but you do not have the sunsets that end of the island. Either way you will enjoy Siquijor.

I took my family there fairly recently, overall had a pleasant stay but have to say, the place was looking quite tired and in need of a re-fresh. With a small plot to work with, better to master plan/lanscape accordingly. Food was typical of the Philippines, nothing special and overpriced. The beach as somebody previously indicated was dirty and on our visit was covered in plastic trash, not just in front but the whole stretch of beach unfortunately. The saving grace was free use of their kayaks...rare to see at any resort but made the visit worthwhile together with their island tour.

Wow sorry to hear that as i have not been to the island in about a year we have beach property about a mile from Coral Cay. The rubbish is a problem but that changes later in the year when there is a better off shore wind ( i know not a great solution ). To me it's still a friendly beautiful island were you can really relax, have heard Castaway ( old Hollyettes ) is a nice little beach bar but not been there yet.

Snowman, agree with you about Siquijor being a friendly, beautiful island where you can really relax; we did just that and had a grand time overall.

The trash situation needs to be addressed though, both at resort level as well as barangay level. I would like to recommend Siquijor to friends from several countries, however, the trash situation alone is enough no to do so. People from many developed nations just never see the same level of plastic we saw. Perhaps the annual worldwide beach clean has not been heard of there.

Hi, as i said before have not been there for a year but i did walk that beach every morning to Coral Cay for coffee. We do the annual PADI world day beach clean out to about 100 metres off shore and get all the local authorities involved. We have had meetings with the local folk and the expats and resorts have found some funding for local schools so they can do a beach sweep once a week but sometimes it's paddling up-stream. I hope you will recommend it as it is still a nice place..........

Just spent 5 days there, what a nice place. As stated by others before, food is a little pricey, but they have some good value meals on the menu and i just loved the Tom Yum soup they had ..

Dave is a great host and works his butt off ..

It is a real homey, social place, the sunsets cannot be beaten ..

No trash at all .. nice and clean ..
