    Hi Guys,
As i brought my meds with me from Thailand i have had no need to go to the Doctors. But now i am running out can anyone tell me can i go to a Health Centre to see a GP to get a Prescription, or do i have to go to the Hospital and all that entails.

For many prescriptions, assuming you know the name, you can go to Rose Pharmacy or Union Pharmacy.

Meant to say, you don't need a prescription, just ask for it or if you have a bottle or box show it to them, if they have in stock.

Naropa, I go into Rose Pharmacy in Robinson's Market and just ask by name if I don't have a bottle or box, same for Rose on Perdices and it has also worked at Union on Perdices. Others have commented that they can even get Viagra without a prescription so hopefully you can find the one you need at one of those locations. Btw, there is a good chiropractor in Cebu that some of us use for back problems, none in Dgte. Good luck.

I take Tramal (Tramadol) for back pain. It's an opioid analgesic sold over the counter at any of the outlaying pharmacies.
But in Manila or Cebu, they'll ask for a prescription.
    Tramadol works on tough pain.

    Ooh-rah!

What's a prescription? I've bought meds for years both here and in Cebu. No one EVER asked for a prescription. Another of the many benefits of living in the P.I.

Diazepam is a controlled substance. You need a prescription for that, even in the Philippines. You can get a prescription from a physician in private practice who has a DEA license.

Consultation is about 200 pesos here in Tanjay, shouldn't be much more in Dumaguete.
