    Something to be aware of....

This was a common occurance in Pampanga when i lived there but it's the first time it's happened to me here in N.O. and i caught it.

Pulled into the gas station on my motorbike and the attendant didn't reset the pump to read ZERO and began pumping with the prior pump balance of 50pesos. Of course, he's pocketed the 50p from the customer before me and now it just gets all on my bill.

1 liter difference isn't big on a car or a motorbike that holds 11 liters. Unless of course, like me today, pulled into the station with virtually zero in my tank and on empty. In this case he was able to put in .3 of a liter MORE than the actual capacity of my tank!

I called him on it when I looked up as the pump started and it was at 72Pesos already. Long story short, both he and I knew he was a thief and I'll never be back.

How many of you, with cars that are actually 6 feet in front of the pump and out of view of the totals actually know the pump was set to 00 before they began fueling your car?

Just an FYI to be on the lookout for.

I stop for fuel quite often at that Shell. I do not remember the pumpboy ever starting to fuel my vehicle without clearing the pump and bringing it to my attention that it was at 0.

Hey OMW, Did you actually see the boy start pumping without resetting the pump meter, or did you catch it because at full tank his fuel meter read more than the rated capacity of your tank?

Caught it within 2 seconds of him starting to pump the gas when he didn't say the "zero zero sir" and it was at 71pesos.

well, there are always some who tries.

about 4 years ago there was a station next to provincial hospital (now renovated), they obviously pumped some air through their meter. I was ending with 10+ liter in a max. 8 liter-capacity tank (checked that a few weeks earlier at a repair-job).

Don't wanna know how many millions they made that way.

I asked for the manager and he apologized that there must be a crack in the line sucking air .. well...

for whatever reason I looked at google at that time for tank-capacity and came across that answer on a website, which just made me laugh, so I think worth a share...

Rhoody, hahahahahah, If you have not been caught at least once, you have not lived ..

Now, Puerto Galera, where they used to mix Kerosene with the Gas to save money .. I am told the Petron in Perimeter road, Angeles used to do the same ..

On Clark, they have the calibration bucket, they go and fill a measured 2 gallon bucket full of tax and duty free fuel from every pump to check the pump calibration. No one actually mentions what happens to the gas in the bucket!
