What ATM in Dumaguete allows the maximum withdrawl? I use Visa on the Cirrus system. I don't care about fees cause my bank charges only 1%

Maximum you can withdraw on an ATM in Dumaguete is 10.000 pesos(Metrobank,BPI and others)
If you use a foreign visacard the local bank will charge 200 pesos.
So your actual withdrawal is 10.200 pesos but you only receive 10.000.
Besides of that your own bank will charge you 1% or 102 pesos.
So the total deducted from your account will be 10.302 pesos while you get 10.000.
In other words you pay 3 % service to both banks combined.

The servicecharge in Dumaguete is 200 pesos/transaction.
So if you withdraw 10,000 (10,200) and 5,000 (5,200) the local servicecharge will be 400pesos or just under2.7 %.

My Wells Fargo Visas have a "hold-up" limit of 10,000 pesos per day. But before I came here I opened a second account, giving me two seperate cards. That way I can get 20,000 per day and I just use the "online transfer" feature to swap money around the accounts.
And the 10,000 pesos per day is a firm limit. No exceptions. However, my bank re-cycles about 5pm our time, so if necessary, I think I could get 10,000 about 3pm and another 10,000 about 6pm (per card). I've never tried it but it should work.

Let me ask another question on ATM transactions... What money exchange rate are you getting when using a ATM? What ever the exchange rate is for that day or how much less. I walked in to BPI and asked a rep. and they could not tell me 2 people there said they did not know.

The max I have been able to get is 10K php as already been stated. I can add to the fee information. I was using a visa on my bank in the states and in addition to the 200php atm fee they were charging me another $2.00 and an additional 3% for each transaction. I started to move my money to may paypal account and I have a paypal Mastercard. Paypal does not charge a cent in additional fees. The down side is it takes 3-5 days for the money to move from my bank to the paypal account.

I got a Capital One Direct Banking card (isn't a Visa/MC) that I have used in Manila and Cebu at Metrobank and BPI many times and not been charged a fee by the local bank. It's tied to a savings acct and you can only withdraw what funds are available in the account. I got it specifically to use in the PI because there are no fees for international withdrawals.

I have 2 American bank accounts with a card for each. I can make 2 withdrawals of 10,000 from each of them every 24 hours for a total of 40,000 per day. I use ATMs at BPI, Metro Bank, China Bank, and Robinson's Bank which all charge 200 pesos per transaction.

I just checked my statement and my last transaction was 2 weeks ago and it was $230.06 for 10,000 pesos and that includes the 200 peso fee from BPI, but not the $5.00 flat fee that my bank charges.
