I have been looking at the TVS RockZ 125. I am trying to decide which to buy, the RockZ 125 or a Honda Wave 100. Can any one help me with my decision. Any pros and/or cons would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at the specks on both, and they are pretty close, but the RockZ has more power, and other amenities. The RockZ is also priced a little higher than the Honda Wave, but I don't know of the TVS track record. Is it a good bike, or should I stay with the Honda?

    Thanks

i still prefer honda wave 100 or wave 125. TVS Rockz 125 is made in indonesia and is not yet tested here.

If it's a motorcycle you are wanting, go with the Honda. If power is an issue why not compare apples to apples and look at the Wave 125 instead of the 100?

On the other hand, if what you are looking for is a boombox with wheels, the TVS may be just the thing for you.

I'm about out of Dumaguete, but I bought a RockZ for Weena recently. Shadow is much more experienced on these issues than myself, but I can't help feel that the scooters here are much the same as computers in the U.S. That is, they may have a different brand, but they all ultimately come from the same small pool of manufacturers. Certainly, comparing a RockZ to a Wave isn't the same as comparing a Chevy to a Honda. To me it would be more like comparing a Dell to an HP. Also, at the end of the day, you are ultimately buying a scooter, not a family wagon or other sort of vehicle like I had in the U.S. which has lasted me for 14 years as is still going strong (with my family since I left it behind.)

However, there are a number of no brainers. I picked up the RockZ as sort of an impulse buy. I liked that it's somewhat unique and though all scooters are ugly, it has a look which sort of grabbed me. Unfortunately, the RockZ will likely never hold it's value the same as a Honda Wave because Honda has a huge advantage in brand awareness. Also, if ever you are concerned about the possibility of obtaining parts and service, the Honda Wave is likely much better simply because of the fact that so many more Honda's are on the road. Even a Russi would likely come out ahead because of the cheaper price and the fact that you can get service at the same place you buy it. But if you are like me, go ahead and buy what makes you happy, and you won't regret.
