Hua Hin is great, I came very close to building a house on one of the country clubs there. My ex-wife is Thai. Weather is breezy and seafood on the pier as good as any I have had anywhere. When I was considering the move, I think about 3 or 4 years ago, they were starting up a daily 20 min flight to Bangkok. The King moved to his summer home there which proves out the location. There is also a 5 star spa. Given the ex-wife and I didn't work out, I am happy things worked out and I am here (married). I wouldn't live here if I was single....

Hua Hin is not that close to Bangkok, about 200 km and it takes more than 3 hours by train.
The new airport from Bangkok is even further away.

Help me out here! Where is Nevas pizza? I know its on Hibbard Ave , but cant find Villa Almada , any other landmarks to help me find it? Have been going to Gordos Pizza which isnt bad but a little sweet for European tastes but good value.

Villa Amada is in another barangay! The area you have to look for is Amigo Subdivision. If you're coming from Silliman (along Hibbard Avenue), go straight north. You should see a convenience stored named AM PM, take a right there. It's just by the corner. Amigo Subdivision is just before the Christmas House.
