    Hopefully my wife and i will be moving to dumaguette in june 2011,after our child is born and soon as he can travel.atleast this is our plans.my question,she thinks we need a guarded place to live,im not sure.we would like to rent long term a decent place furnished,no more than 16 thousand month.i want drive so like to be close enough to get a taxi,or whatever.we will also need a maid,as she will attend college for a few years,some 1 we can trust.thanks for all the members here and happy new year to all,caint wait to leave mississippi..hate the cold. traveller

    It continues to amaze me that people make tremendously important life decisions without having even basic info appropriate for making such decisions..................

    you certainly don't need a guarded area when choosing right. To choose right I always recommend to stay in a Hotel a few days and roam around to check out the options.

    One decision about the location might be to which college your wife goes. Schools here are quite long until the evening and you don't wanna cross the town each evening during rush-hour. That can be pretty tiring.

    Apartments in your range are plenty around, while there are more for rent in April/may than in November for example. Until June 2011 are probably 50 more build and ready to move in compared to today.
