I don't really see the reason you posted at all.

I was only asking a question. Nice to see how tourists are treated on this forum.

Yes it seems it's just closed Sundays. It was open for lunch.

We went there for lunch today, it was pretty dead at noon. They got our order wrong, brought us chicken curry instead of chickpea curry, even though we pointed to it and ordered everything else from the vegetarian section. They seemed confused and really blase.

Anyways the food was pretty disappointing, it was decent in Cebu City, but this location has crappy service and they were out of some stuff and it was not very tasty what we got anyways. At least it was cheap that's all I have to say.

How an Indian place can serve local rice instead of Basmati and think it's the same is a mystery too. Totally not the same, but again it's a cheap place.

We enjoyed our food much better at Justz Cafe last night. So I'm glad we checked that out.

    Wrong Country for Vegan

Sorry Veronica but the Philippines is perhaps the worst country in the World for Vegans. That list seems to be growing for other things as well. Let's hope it improves with more foreigners starting to address head on these food type issues by investing in their own agriculture and even cattle breeding as the meat sucks here as well.

    As in Rome!

We were always taught, "When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do!"
    I believe a US president once said;
" You can please some of the people ALL of the time, All the people SOME of the time BUT you can never please ALL the people ALL the time "
Dumaguete is Dumaguete and that is why we Love it, with or without the ingredients for a perfect life.
Here's Hoping your next Port of Call can be more accommodating, on Negros, I somehow doubt it but 'Bon-Voyage'

Forgive me for asking, but isn't the Persian Palate an Iranian restaurant?

Persia was the old name of the country Iran. Also Basmati long rice, the best in the world comes from Iran. Maybe also available in India?

When in Cebu we buy this delicious rice in the Supermarket, Ayala Mall.

    Cheers,

    Ron

Yes I know Persia used to be Iran. I have no idea why they have Indian food, but they do. Even Lonely Planet and looking up descriptions of the restaurant online says they have Indian and Middle Eastern food... obviously hummus and falafal and shawarma are not Indian of course, but some of their items are. But they do not taste very good like Indian food lol.

Iran is used to be Persia....isn't it? I prefer American Prime Rib from Texas, well hung and cocked when the meat color is black... served as a Thick Torneado flamed in Ludwig 16th cognac or Fil'e Mignon with Bernaise Sauce... and of course a baked Idaho potato, with everything on it... yam yam...that is real health food! Oh my...I feel hungry now! LOL

    Cheers,
    Ron

Most Basmati rice comes from India followed by Pakistan.
Even if Basmati is considered one of the best rice in the market, most rice lovers like more Thai perfume rice and certainly Japanese rice.
