    Tunji - that's funny.......
My previous girlfriend in the US was Vietnamese. Been in the US since 1975. She checked the box "do not understand English" (she did perfectly). That worked for her.

:o Hi Ron. Actually I don't have a Clue how it will work, All I read is how much it will save the Law System and they say that it will speed up the Back log of Court cases. I have not lived in the UK for over 20 Years now so I just Know what I read and pick up as each day goes bye. Having said this, I will do some research and see what I can find out, I have a niece in london who is a lawyer so maybe I will ask her direct and then post my findings. as at this time the jury payment system sounds the same, daily allowance, unpaid time from work, all in all you are so right, a no win situation.

    Ron,

If you are 65 or over it is up to you whether you sit on a jury. At least I think that was the law when I lived in Dallas.

Muddyfeet - I'm 70 in about 3 weeks, but somehow I need to make sure "they" get the message on my age and where I am, I guess. Sometimes Harris County (Houston) people are mentally "1 can shy of a 6 pack"

 Ron, call me stupid BUT can you not find an email address and tell them direct. Not sure of course how the US Embassy Works but the British Embassy has in the Past, been Useful for a change, in contacting offices in the UK that need to be informed of things like this.:D Sorry if I sound so stupid but really would like to help you more if I could.

Thanks JP, I asked my daughter to scan it and email it to me. I would "think" that there would be an email address on the form in English AND Spanish (inside joke).
My daughter should get it to me today.
