Does anyone know where in Siquijor is best to rent a motorbike for a few days and the 24 hour rental price?
When you get off the boat at the pier, just outside the gate is a restaurant called Das Straum. Joy is the owner there and she rents by the day. Youcan also find a motorcycle rental if you walk up the street, hang a right at Asissi High School, continue along the road and do not go up the hill. you will see a gift shop on the left. You can rent there also. No matter where you rent, the bikes are questionable as far as maintenance goes. Check the tires, check the wheels for loose spokes etc, etc. Be careful, Siquijor is an interesting place to ride.. people tie cows goats and pigs next to the road and the animals seem to prefer grazing from the road. The Native dogs love to lay in the road as well as the occasional drunkard. The school children will walk down the highway 5 or 6 abreast with no consideration for traffic. The provincial road is 67km around, but due to hazards such as the ones above, plan on three hours to circumvent the island.
Kiwi Dive Resort out at Sanduagan Beach. Take a tricycle from Larena pier. The bikes are newer and well maintained. The above advice regarding riding is very sound - and give ALL dogs a wide berth. Yes it takes around three hours to ride around the island but you might want to allow a day as there are a number of things to explore.
