⌛ Retina specialist

I am beginning to have the problems I knew were going to creep up on me eventually, necessitating the care of a retina specialist. I am pretty sure there aren't any here in Dumaguete, but am crossing my fingers that maybe someone here on the forum is aware of one. At the least, a VERY good ophthalmologist will be a starting point. Please offer me any and all suggestions of very good ophthalmologists. Must be M.D. No optometrists, and must be an opthalmologist only (specialist in eyes only), I read a thread where someone recommended an EENT.....while he is an M.D., he is multi-specialty, and that won't work for my needs at this time.

If this helps. Dr Larrazable at Cebu Dr's Hospital 032-412-2020 is one of the best in the country. If you Know Ray Hurd who drinks soda at Y not almost every day, he was telling me about a Dr. here he was very satisfied with. I will pm his phone if you would like after I get his permission.

permres..why dont you check out Aces eye Clinic beside Hypermart.They are a proffesional eye surgical center.They have a web site too..but I lost it..Miguel

 

These are one of the things I would probably be on a plane to Bangkok or Singapore for...

Eyesight is too important to gamble with...

Alternatively St. Lukes or Makati Medical can probably help you if a trip out of country is not within budget or not an option for other reasons.

Thanks for the recommendations....I was at another doctor today and asked him if HE needed to see someone who HE would see and he gave me a name and assured me they have very nice, modern, up-to-date equipment at Holy Child to do retina work. When he described it to me, it sounded exactly what they used on me in the states. I feel so much better.
