Two interesting things (to me) about TV here.
First, series here actually have an "ending". Aqua Bendita and Noah come to a conclusion and finish. Unlike the USA where series keep running as long as there are enough viewers and the writers always find a way to extend the storyline.
Second, tv personalities are multi-use here. There is a young man that is a co-host of 2 daytime game shows that is also a weatherman on nightly news and if needed, a field reporter. He and others are also the main actors in most of the commercials. And I just saw a commercial for a new series that is starting that has some if the same actors as "Noah" that just concluded a few days ago.
And I'll bet that they DON'T make $2 million USD per show like Charlie Sheen.
    Interesting concepts........

    50 years.

 I see that a certain TV soap in the UK, Coronation Street, recently celebrated it's 50th anniversary, There is one member of the cast that is still there after all this time, he was in the very First episode, sorry to say, I am old enough to remeber that day:(

@ Anyone in the UK, has it changed much?, I have not seen it for 16 years.

Some things never change Jack. All of the soaps in UK seem to revolve around the local pub. Coronation Street (The Rovers Return), Eastenders (The Queen Vic), Emmerdale (The Woolpack) etc. etc. The story lines are apparently becoming more and more far fetched, adding to the confusion in the already addled minds of the moronic viewers who can't distinguish between TV fantasy and real life reality.

When Coronation Street first started, I should think that its target audience was the cranially challenged, but it seems that it has now deteriorated to being avidly watched by those who take it in turns to share the family brain cell.

As far as happy endings go, I always liked, from US television, Married with Children. Ed Bunday always seemed to come up trumps, despite being lower than a snakes balls, and of less use than t*ts on a bull.
