Help!! Went out to start our car this afternoon (after driving it twice this morning) and the battery was dead. Of course this is at 6 pm, too late to do anything. Just wondering if any of you know a mechanic that makes house calls? Our battery is not easy to get to....there is a stabilization/roll bar bolted across the top of it. Thanks!!

    Thanks!!

:D:D Thanks for all the great tips and leads!! We had a guy come to the house, jump our car, take it to the battery shop and got us a new battery installed and returned the car back to us. We are good to go!!

Glad you got it fixed so quickly, but by whom?

It may help others in the same situation.

By whom was our car taken car of? As we waited for some leads here, we had to start using our own resources. The young man who has done some work at our house brought a battery to the house and jumped the car to start it. He then drove the car to the battery shop and got a new battery installed for us and returned the car to our driveway. Although he would have done it for us, not expecting anything, we, of course, paid him for his troubles. It was well worth it. I am still open to any suggestions if anyone knows of a mechanic that makes house calls....just to put in my contact list, would be good to have!! Had one in Manila and it was sure nice since there is no such thing as AAA here.

I wholeheartedly agree!! I don't think a person with such skills would have any problem building a clientele since there isn't anyone doing that here.
