Thanks, Knowdafish. What Ninja said about hiking around the main lake is true only in the dry season when the water is low. Since we had lotza rain in January courtesy of La Nin~a, early parts of that trail were submerged when we visited -- the only way across to the pavilion-tower and west-shore campground is to take the cheapo boat-service -- which is less exercise but a viewing-pleasure in-itself.

The only way this Park could be considered "boring" is if you're a person bored by nature. It's just the sortta place i love, m'self -- could spend several days there happily swimming, picnicking, reading, chatting, exploring the forest and just watching the sunlight shift on the waters. But that's just me, with most of my life spent in a stressful megalopolis with hectic professional schedule -- so what i crave on vacation is peaceful quiet nature in all its simple glory...

    Thanks jimeve.

House is doing great; i'm so d*mn proud of my pinoy princess, who designed it and has sucessfully managed all the construction by herself -- contractors only used for roof and windows, of necessity -- with no significant mistakes or accidents -- ran a crew of 15 men for 5 months with iron discipline, dealt properly with suppliers and government officials, done it "right" all the way. Maybe she should be a professional construction contractor herself.... This is all outside of my realm of knowlege / ability, so i'm just proud of her, watching.
