    Yesterday I stumbled accidentally into a small ongoing construction site downtown Dumaguete to find out that the prayers of plenty of DI members got heard.

    In about 2 weeks we will have a small Thai Restaurant in Dumaguete. While we had many coming and going expats/places with "exotic" food in weird locations, that one might work. Not to big, pretty central, the owner and his wife have culinary background and were living many years in Thailand.

    I know many of us are waiting for a half way decent place for Thaifood and in that case I have a good feeling. Of course I need to get some brownie points here as I got my invitation for the pre-opening and food test

    more to come in 2 weeks ...

    Good news!
    I hope they have that mixed seafood/rice noodle soup.
    The kind that comes with mint leaves & sprouts on the side, with a couple of hot sauces to pick from.
    I love that stuff!

    I guess the odds of Rhoody being drunk are above 50% so I hope the Thai restaurant is a reality.
    I was married to a Thai for 15 yrs and really miss the food, but not the ex. lol:D

    If I am not mistaken, it might be the restobar I saw them working on across the street from My barber shop next door to Lee Plazas carport area in the back. Same street that the other metro bank is on, not the one on real st. I could be dead wrong though..... I just hope they can find fresh mint leaves....
