I found that store aross near from the citi hardware (called something else now)and was able to buy some beef tenderloin for P770kg. Actually not a horrific price if it is the real McCoy from the US of A. I will try it an give a verdict. They also have rib eye (no stock preently) and a couple of other cuts. Most stuff sold is from USA, Brazil and Australia.

Unless you go for the expensive import stuff you get from Casablanca Deli I would probably prefer pork tenderloin on the BBQ - You can usually get good quality pork here and tenderloin is not much more expensive than any other cut.

My only question about Casablanca is how long would you have would have to wait for service in the deli to get the meat packed and paid for LOL. If it's as bad (as the restaurant) I guess you would be assured of getting aged beef.

I know Gunther and have a good relationship with him. And Jack, frankly I don't need a lecture on manners thank you very much from someone who is making a supposition not based on fact. I shouldn't have to call Gunther about this. It is something that should be a given in any well run establishment. I have given Casablanca a number of tries already. Just curious, how many times do you think it takes to deserve a customers loyalty and respect.....Once, twice, three times???

Following not a lecture or a criticism, merely my personal experience at Cb.

I guess we are regulars at Casablanca, given we eat there twice a week and have for the last year. Like most good restaurants anywhere I have been, there are times when the help get slammed with multiple tables to handle and someone has to wait, call it rush hour. You can call ahead and make reservations and a table will be waiting for you. We see many other regulars dining there and they understand there might be a waiting period, at times.

Gunther listens very well and is always ready to make corrections or improvements. If a person is unhappy with the service, have a chat with Gunther. If you want immediate personal service, perhaps ask him the best time for you to dine so you don't get caught in a queue.

It goes without saying that there are not a lot of real good restaurants that foreigners would enjoy here in Dgte so if we offer suggestions for improvements at a place like CB, all of us can benefit.
