⌛ Ukay-ukay Mania

Hi! What can you say about Ukay-ukay stores here in Dumaguete City? Just asking for opinion. Thanks ad hope to hear a lot of feedbacks.

Most Ukay-ukay good come from garage and estate sales in the US. The agents pack containers full of the used goods and ship it over here.
Alamay (sp?) is one of the big sources, but there are other importers here and in Cebu.

The stuff holds it value too, I've seen some items priced as much as new and still it sells.

Sometimes I'd rather buy used at the Ukay-ukay, than brand new Chinajunk.

 

Thanks a lot for the feedback. i have a boutique but since the items are expensive and as what i observed, mostly people buy ukay-ukay rather the expensive ones. will be having an ukay nalang instead of boutique.

 

Aly Mae is the biggest importer of second hand goods in Dumaguete.
You can find his place just around the corner from Rovira road, start at Saint Pauls college going up (1km), first street at the left (20 m at left side)

 

Ukay ukay is great.

100 peso to Asawa, task 2 t-shirt for me --> 5-9 hrs. peace and freedom at home

Asawa ko always seem to find some cool T-shirts. And used Levi's that actually fit me.

If one has big feets, theres usually many several large sized shoes to pick from.

 

My wife buys me Ukay-ukay all the time. I like it much better than the expensive Chinese crap. She even found 20 USD in the pocket of shorts she bought me. I can't be an expert on prices because she is embarrassed if her foreigner husband looks cheap:D. Although I know the Ukay ukay on the north highway is very cheap and Aly Mae is sometimes very expensive.
