Thinking of going to Dumaguete/Siquijor in a few months and want to bring my fishing gear, can anyone tell me if fresh water fishing is allowed at twin lakes?

Well I can personally tell you that I have fished twin lakes so yes it there is fishing and yes there are fish in there. Now all the fish I caught were Tilapia most were not that big. But then again we fished in one spot right next to the entrance, and with cane poles. I brought my a reel with me thinking I would just buy a rod here in Duma. I have been dying to try out that lake with a decent set up. But I have been busy here with things and haven't had the time to go except for that one time. There also boats you can rent if you are interested.

We used worms dug up from the under the roots of the trees there at the lake. I went with some of my Filipino friends from the mountains. They actually had a homemade speargun with them that they used to nab a few nice ones. Our setup was very native, I would have loved to get out there with my Favorite Shimano and Fennwick. As far as a limit I don't believe there is any, there was a small fee for entering, something like 150 pesos I think.

Thanks for that- sounds like a good day, you favour the same reels as i do.
my wife is about to give birth so a bit up-side-down at the moment, have to go later this year to pay my land taxes on Siquijor so hope to put in a few good days fishing..
    Thanks again..
