Have any foreigners married to a filipina here had hospital care partially covered by their wife's Philhealth insurance? Or have any foreigners here married to a filipina signed up for their own Philhealth card (don't know if that is allowed)?

    Reg, Phil Health

Visit them and ask questions about how to get coverage.

If married to a filipina with Phil health she can ad you on and you are covered. If she don't have coverage go and get it now. If you want your own coverage you can get that to as long as you have residence here. There are no benefits having your own as long as you stay married. But because of all the brake-ups here it may be better to have your own coverage. It is cheap...cost 100 pesos per month. Also cover 50% of Colonoscopy as an out patient. Everything else is In-patients only.

    Beneficiary!

If Crislyn declares you as her beneficiary, This will become automatic as you will be considered as an add on, I believe there is a fee for this and the premiums are raised. Not sure how much but I will ask Azon tomorrow. Bit like adding the wife to the Car insurance, same things with the Funeral Insurance (St Peter's we have) Worth Checking out the beneficiary thing as it could cause some little issue maybe in the future.

    Tell me more

Hey guy's n girls, This is one area that I have not delved into. (Philhealth)
Just what are you covered for, as this seems very reasonable for medical cover.
This is the one stumbling block that has kept me in the UK. regards JB
