in feb 2009 on a trip to manilla i had a chance to play a round of golf with 2 american guys i reminded them of a young star for ireland called rory mc ilroy who was then only 18 and had just won the west of ireland amateur tournament i forascted he would win a major within 5 years
anyone who loves the game will love this young man
his natural abilirty reminds me of watson in the 70s
    backed him at 25/1
    wish me luck

Unlucky Ruanard close but that last round ruined your bet. Great golf all round. Rory for sure did Ireland proud and I am positive he will win a Major or a few in the future.

Here's hoping Rory's bad round Sunday will make him stronger and he will indeed be a winner. If he has "grit", he will be a champion, if he doesn't he may fade away.

He will come back a wiser and more determined golfer. Still only 21, but the last round he seemed nervous, which is normal. Good luck to the young man.

That was sooo difficult to watch. Every hacker, like me, can feel for him... There was one point where it looked like he was going to walk off the course. But he does have talent, and his demeanor after the match showed his maturity. We also wish him luck!

And Kudos to Jason Day, the Fil-Aussie who had a great tournament and came up just a little short. He also has a bright future in the sport.

Who is the golfer you are talking about?????? Maybe the young fellow.... to young to stand the pressure in such a big tournament, but a great golfer for the future!
