Thats correct you must dive with a local guide until you learn the sites or we may have to pick you up in Mindanao or Palawan hehe:eek:

....a diver is actually charged an "extra" fee when diving in a sanctuary if he/she takes a camera? If that is true...I wonder the rationale? Do I get charged an extra fee if I use fins? LOL.......

    Dauin Beach dives???

New to Negros and wondering exactly where to beach dive in Dauin. I know where the Sanctuary site signs are along the highway but I am concerned about trespassing someone's property in accessing the "beach" dives in Dauin. Can anybody tell me exactly how to get to these beach dives? Have own gear and am a dive instructor.

there are yellow signs along the national road announcing the marine sanctuaries from Maajong Tubic to Bacong. you need to get the tickets first at Dauin municipality Hall. Some Bantay Dagats at the Sanctuaries accept cash.

yup, make sue you get the permit/tickets........from my limited experience in Feb, because the ocean was so rough, our boat tied up on shore right beside the sanctuary and there was an access road/path from the road right to water's edge. If you have a vehicle, you should be able to park within 30m if the shore line. Why not get a local like Rhoody to show you the various places to enter, then you can go back on other days on your own and feel comfortable you aren't pissing people off......be sure to leave your contact info with someone on shore so they know where to send your equipment, body, etc. when you are swept away by the currents........just kidding.....but be careful
