    Dear DI Members,

Our Thursday Club, the charity organization open to all DI members and friends who want to support our projects, has selected Calindagan Elementary School in Dumaguete as our first charity project. The school is located in one of the many low income areas and the kids attending have little funds for needed school supplies. We value education for children and their principal has identified the following needs, with asterisks on the high priority items:
    1. Pintle Pen; 4 per class
    2. Pintle Pen Ink; 4 per class
    3. Cartolina; one per student
    4. Staple Wires #35; one box per grade level
    5. *Erasers; one per student
    6. *Pencils, Mongol 1; 4 per student
    7. *Black Ball pens; one per student, grades 4 to 6 (about 200)
    8. Construction Paper; 12 sheets per student
    9. *Notebooks, 90 leaves; 5 each, Double lined – preschool; 9 each, Double Lined, grades 1 to 3; 12 each, Single Lined, grades 4 to 6.
    10. Pad Paper; 20 pads per grade
    11. *Bond Paper; one long pad and one short pad per class
    12. Ruler, 12 inch; one per student
    13. Meter Stick; one per class
    14. Hard Plastic Folder; one per student
    15. Report Card Envelope; one per student
    16. Calculator; one per class
    17. Computer for Science room for “hands-on” for students; older, used computer is fine and the Operating System is not important.
    18. Crayons; 1 box per student
    19. *Plastic Envelope; one per student

We have some funds donated from members for this project but more funds are needed to extend our reach to other projects including handicapped children and other child needs. If you would like to contribute to our charities or join the Thursday Club, please contact our Moderator, Grandpainak or Treasurer, Broadside, or Membership, PatO.
    Thank you for your consideration.

    The Thursday Club Board
