The gas prices here in the U.S. are at a nationwide average of $3.85 per gallon. You can do your own conversations, but anyway, may I ask what the price per....? liter (I guess it is liter there) is there, and yes, I'll do my conversation. I know that fuel prices in the states, as well as China, and Malaysia, Venezuela are usually lower than most other countries, but I am just curious about the prices in the Philippines, and if the prices are consistent throughout the country? Thanks.

...and unlike the U.S. and most of Europe there is NOT a 30-50% tax on fuel!

Wow, so if the price doesn't reflect a large tax, then the oil companies are raking it in huh? I mean, I'm not surprised with the price, but it is unfortunate the country isn't getting the same level of taxes as most other nations so they can continue to improve roads and transportation.

I'm sure they are "market prices" reflecting supply and demand. The Philippines imports almost all it's own oil and, as far as I know, doesn't have a refinery, so it imports all grades of fuel also.

It really starts with a "d", as in distribution costs, that get passed on to the consumer.
