There were signs of adultery going on and the filipina just got caught.

 

that is the thing about trust, its not a guarantee. In terms of my marriage it would end it of course but if it was what she really wanted to do then whatever, I mean I do not begin to try and control her...i guess it would seem to be more of a head scratcher to me rather than a shock if that makes any sense. I certainly wouldn't shoot her but there would be a heck lot of a lot of things to be rearranged.

One thing I do with my wife is keep very close to her family which again seems like something other husbands to try and avoid. In my case I believe she would have as difficult a time facing them over being unfaithful as she would facing me

 

Its so subjective really, I mean the attitude of the general expat. It would be nice if it was in fact to be happy and satisfied. I really haven't bothered hanging around with expats in the past much because the ones I tended to run into didn't seem very well behaved and I am not interested in nonsense.

 

Do we actualy know if the husband was a Pinoy or an American ?

There are ugly stories from both sides..... There is the "American Promise" and an equally ugly "Filipina Promise".....

When I first came here years ago I met a married couple.... she was fabulous.... beautiful..... fantastic body.....bright , intelligent, sexy.....I envied him.....Everytime I saw them I drooled.....
A couple of years later I saw her alone in a restaurant.....my wife went over to talk to her ....later I asked my wife what happened to her husband..... "She got a lawyer and had him thrown out of the Philippines"......."what did he do?"......."nothing, she got all of his money then dumped him"..... "She is working on an Australian now"

I secretly sighed a sigh of relief..... that snook could have been me

This guy who killed his wife was a Filipino.... he dumped his other wife of 21 years and married this 26 year old girl...... was she having an affair ????..... but she was not behaving like a good wife..... would you feel comfortable with your wife with a handsome young man alone in a parked car on the deserted 5th floor of a dark parking garage at 8PM at night..... sitting in a parked car long enough for you to walk up and shoot them

in terms of your married couple I would contend he most likely married her for the wrong reasons, you say it might have been you but only if you had made the same mistake. If you marry for lust instead of love it usually doesn't work in the end.
