I have read various posts on this topic, and folks have recommended Monterrey, MKKS and Casablanca. I recall the last few times we went to MKKS, Nonong told us he had no steaks, but we haven't been back there in awhile.

Three visits to Monterrey we were told they didn't have steaks in stock; we have not returned yet to Casablanca's deli (we visited the first day or two it was open). Definitely plan on going back!

What is the latest info for availability of steaks for the grill? Any tips?

    Thank you!

Rick/Sue, I bought some steaks from Casablanca deli last week and they were delicious on the barbecue.

After living in Texas for 10 years, the Phils cured my dependance on red meat. (Carabou - the other red meat)

The meat here is of extreamly low quality, PERIOD. The imported meats have had the flavor frozen out of them and are way over priced.

I bbq alot of chicken, pork ribs and seafoods.

And the first thing I do when I go home is enjoy a 16oz steak (baked patato the size of a football smothered in butter, sourcream, bacon, chives) in a great resturant that sets my colon screaming for mercy.

Many thanks, Pat - we will take your advice and head for Casablanca. Gunther does such a terrific job and is truly a professional (with an ever-present "customer service" focus).
