not really, the clearance letter (with your picture and fingerprints) is valid exactly 1 month from date of issue (at least for germans). Just checked the copy again,

I applied on April 17, got approved April 21, picked up the letter at BOI beginning of May, flew out May 17.

    Hi Jack p,
What is a clearance? i booked my flight into B,ham at the start of the year for February 3rd. about a week before i brought my passport and 13A card to the Baguio field office and told them my plan.
I paid my exit visa and they gave me a OR, on arrival at immigration (airport) i produced my passport, 13a, exit OR and annual head tax receipt. The lady stamped my passport and i passed on through without further question..

    New to me!

I am at a loss on this, I have always paid at Manila, As the Queues are now getting longer and longer, any other way of doing it will be good, my Wife and Daughter will Hopefully be with me in DEC, so I would like to get it all over Before the hustle and bustle. Rhoody said a day or two ago, he would explain the current procedure for us, maybe, when he has unpacked and had a couple of SMB's he will enlighten us :D

Hi, i'm not sure what a clearance is, as i said i arrived armed with all from my field office and i passed through in fact because they were( other travellers ) all in the que to pay their exit i walked up to the booth and was first and through in a matter of seconds she stamped my passport with departure stamp and flight. I arrived back two weeks later again with all in hand and no problem he stamped my passport with arrival and flight number with no further questions or prblems....

The Exit Clearance AKA ECC is required for those that have stayed more than 6 months in the Philipines. It shows you are not wanted for anything and you can supposedly leave.

Hope that clarifies for those wondering....
