Those Beef Steak tomatoes look good. we have grown some roma's and they taste ok. Do you have some seeds from the beefsteak that you would part with?

We tried to grow summer squash (yellow squash) here and the plat grows find but the bugs kill the fruit every time one grows. I may have to wait till we get the screens installed on the house and grow them indoors.

Tomato Tomato Tomato! May have found a gem here.

I grew tomatoes for many years hydroponically in the states. Without the knowledge of all the difficulties... soil, insects, disease, etc... will make this one a project upon arrival.

I will be really in a difficult place without a decent tomato!

Keep us posted Robgie! Inquiring minds want to know??

Cherry tomato is the way to go with tomato growing in the tropical here...In hawaii they are the tomatos I grow and actually get to harvest, all other big robust or fancy ones cant handle the heavy rain or the bugs and heat...The cherry tomatos in hawaii are continuos even when the weeds overgrow them from neglect and they stay intact even after turning cherry red on the vine....Vine ripening just doesnt get to market here/philippines,,lycopene or lycene or somthing like that is good for you in tomatos but only if they ripen to red do they give the good stuff..I settle for shelf ripen at the malls and from time to time spot intact shelf ripe ones at market stalls....I try bring tropical cherry tomato seeds from hawaii next month,,I leave soon for 2 weeks and return.. quick....
