    kojak once you get the TIN for your wife you should be able to refile the last 3 years and possible get refunds.

    I did not have any trouble getting one for my wife using the form from the irs.gov web site.

    I would also second the suggestion to use a tax program instead of paying the fees of a "Professional" Unless your taxes are very complicated. I have been using the H&R Block software for the last several years and been very happy. Also if are maintaining an address in the states you can efile. I hafe been told that if you do not have an address in the states you need to mail in your form.

    I used Efile last year but we just moved. Next year depending on whether I have any income at all to report I may just print and mail in the forms.
