⌛ official spanish translator in duma???

i just went to the dumaguete LTO office to apply for a driver's license with a usa passport, a current panamánian driver's license and a panamánian id card.

the woman at the desk said i need to go to the u.s. embassy in manila to get my spanish p'ma documents translated.

i have an expired (4 years ago) u.s. driver's license but didn't have it with me at the time. incidentally, about 3 months back, the expired u.s. dl was accepted by capital one bank in the u.s. as id. however, manilaforwarder.com wouldn't accept the expired u.s. dl or the p'ma id but accepted my p'ma driver's license. you just never know...

What is so hard to figure out on a Spanish language drivers license? That licencia = license??

 

If you can I would renew the US DL, most states have license renewal available online now, otherwise you will need to get the Panamanian DL translated since you should only be able to convert an active license.
