They're probably all the same, but I thought I'd pose the question in case there's one choice better than another.

Just something to print school papers on. Nothing elaborate.

When you buy a printer, look at what kind of print cartridge they take, many are difficult to find in Dgte. Octagon has a good selection of printers and often carry replacement cartridges for the printers they carry (if not out of stock).

    Good info, thanks!

What about these cartridge refill places. Seems like I heard things don't always work out so well with refilled ink ...

I was warned on this forum last year that those refill cartridges may very well gunk up your printer, so I actually went to Cebu Ayala rather than chancing those.

I use Inkmore, never had any trouble with the ink. It doesn't last as long as a new cartridge, but still a better deal. No idea where best to buy a printer though.

HP Printer/Fax/scanner w/ external reservoir at ACE logic, refill only the color you need yourself and not the whole cartridge just because yellow gets low.

Also, look for the price of the ink cartridge replacement and the size of the cartridge.
You can really cheat yourself if you run out of ink constantly or have overpriced cartridges in your printer.

That does sound like a more economical and logical deal.
The printer is probably quite a bit more expensive, but it would surely pay for itself in a year or less in savings on ink if you need to use it a lot.
