    Hello All,

    I am new to your website/forum.

    My family is from Siquijor and Dumaguete. I am trying to put together a family tree, and was hoping to get information prior to the 1900's. I was wondering if there was a way to research information on old families (Spanish/Portuguese/Chinese) in Dumaguete and Siquijor. Where is the best place to research/obtain records? Does the church there or the government or the library in Dumaguete have these records and are they available online?

    Most records were destroyed during WWII. If you care to mention family names, I'm sure someone here could point you to someone you could talk to.
