:( Azon has Just Rung me to say, that she was in the office a little while ago (Noreco 2) to get an Umbrella, The Duty Engineer has told her, that there will be an 8am to 5pm Brownout Tomorrow. This replaces the one that apparently was scheduled for last week. She thought it would be useful, if I posted this to inform you, She said also, it was not selective Areas but the whole Area. Should this change, I will post again, to let you all know. :o Sorry it is a Bad news post, I know it is somewhat normal in DGTE But Really, Sunday ALL day, are we really in 2011

    Tablets.?

:confused:I am no Aquarium man Gypsy But did I not, read somewhere, that you can get a tablet that you drop into the tank, a little like a soda tablet that effervesces and aerates the water. Maybe I am wrong but just a thought.

really? will drop by the pet store tomorrow. didn't know that, jack and thanks so much for the info! just got into fish keeping two weeks ago and now i have 2 tanks (and 2 small ones, each with a betta in it). i wish i did my research first before i stocked my aquarium because i read that there's such thing as cycling the tank first before introducing fish into it. now the ones in the two main tanks are sick. i hope they pull through. they're lovely little creatures and fun to watch.

A Betta will be fine with no external source of oxygen. They are a member of the anabantoid family of fish and breath air. The can live in a mud puddle! Frequent water changes are more of a benefit, especially if the tank hasn't cycled yet.

hi, knowdafish. thanks for the info. now i know who to pm when i have some concerns re my pets. my 2 bettas are fine. they're in separate non-oxygenated tanks. the ones that are sick are my fantails and gouramis (separate tanks), but the latter are doing well. i had to give all my tiger barbs away because nobody at the pet store told me these little fin nippers are not compatible with either goldfish (cold water fish) and gouramis. only got the info later from the internet.

jack, i checked out the pet stores in the city. they don't have such kind of tablets that provide aeration. they do have battery-operated air pumps though so it's good

They lied again, power wasn't on till 6:55pm, though what should one reasonably expect from the 'worst performance' co-op in Visayas?
